Yautjas and Lanterns

Wow, I am so seriously obsessed with Green Lantern and Blackest Night. Yet, I'm also really bored waiting for my subscriptions to come in the mail...and the subsequent empty wallet. I wish I could draw, like really draw and not use templates to design costumes and whatnot. Because, seriously, there's some awesome artwork and ideas in comics (and my head), especially in Green Lantern.

Like this guy [link] ! Who woulda thunk to sneak in a Yautja into the Sinestro Corps War story. I wish I could draw that stuff. 'Cuz now I'm thinking of what a Star Sapphire Yautja or and Agent Orange Yautja might look like. I guess one can only hope some deviant out there is dA-land would some day do that. *sigh*

I'm a 33-year old amateur photographer who is still learning the trade. I love taking photographs. To be able to see something and visualize it and do my best to record it so as to pass on that same impression to other people.

My current camera is just a small Canon PowerShot S5 IS. I've had it for more than a year and I'm loving it. I'll be posting select photos here for viewing and critiquing. Yes, I need critics; we all do. And, of course, someone to give me pointers on using macro and supermacro, haha! Especially since I'm just starting out. Enjoy!

Oh, and if you can't tell by my photos (eventually) and my faves, I'm a big nature loving (and comic loving) freak! I'd have sketches of my own ideas but I can't draw worth a crap. The problem with having a creative mind is that sometimes your creativity doesn't match your talent.

My talent is photography and writing but I've had comic-related ideas floating around my head since I was in my teens, LOL. If anyone would like a shot at giving visual life to one of them, let me know or just take a look at my scraps.
